London College of Fashion (LCF) graduates will showcase their designs in the college’s first MA show to take place during London Fashion Week.

The ten MA graduates who will have their collections shown at the Royal Opera House will benefit from a global platform to attract fashion buyers and the media.

Both mens and womenswear collections will be shown at the event, which is normally held at the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Royal Academy of Arts.

Head of LCF, Dr Frances Corner, said: “Moving the MA Show to coincide with London Fashion Week is a significant step in the development of our postgraduate offer and signals the coming of age of our MA programmes which are consistently providing some of the industry’s most talented fashion designers and professionals.”

The shortlisted designers showing collections will include; Antonia Lloyd, Kieko Nishyama, Maddalena Mangialavori, Min Wu, Na Di, Nadia Scullion, Sian Davies, Xin Sun, Yan Yu Cheung and Yi Xie.

The ten collections were handpicked by a panel of judges including; Dr Corner, the assistant fashion editor of The Guardian Simon Chilvers and Lou Stoppard, associate editor of fashion film website SHOWstudio.

As well as showcasing at the Royal Opera House, LCF’s MA season will continue with the MA13 Exhibition at the Victoria House Basement. It will showcase photography, footwear, accessories, artefacts and sustainable fashion and will be open to the public from February 16.

The MA catwalk will take place on February 15, along with Central Saint Martins’ official London Fashion Week catwalk.
