Strike a pose with Voga
Want to get back into shape with an attitude? Then Voga is for you.
Juliet Murrell, creator of this energetic fusion of yoga and voguing, invites you to discover your inner goddess while toning yourself up.
Murrell defines her invention as a good cardio workout with a holistic dimension.
“I am happy because people really love it. You basically do yoga postures, although you get to be a little bit more expressive and you’ve got music so it is slightly more ‘dancey,’ which helps people get into their positions better,” Murrell says.
This energetic fusion of Yoga and ‘Voguing,’ invites you to discover your inner goddess while toning yourself up.
Focusing firstly on body alignments, holding poses builds strength and mindfulness at the same time.
Murrell states: “The fact that it’s quite repetitive means that it has a meditative dimension. It gives a really good release of energy to your heart centre.”
Heartbeat and blood circulation paired with the whole body being put at work is the perfect combination to get the detoxification process started.
It’s time to blow the dust off your leotards – laughs out loud and good mood guaranteed.
