Her Fearful Symmetry – Audrey Niffenegger (2009)

THIS book combines romance, comedy, friendship and oddly enough, a ghost story. Twin sisters, Julia and Valentina, move away from their home in America to begin a new life in London – in their deceased Aunt’s flat. Aunt Elspeth was the mysterious twin sister of the girl’s mother, and they know next to nothing about her when they move into her flat.

Little do the twins know that they are about to embark on an unusual and spooky adventure that will test their sisterhood. You will find yourself unable to put down this ghostly tale, although the plot is an unlikely set up for a romantic comedy, it really works.

It’s fantastic for those lazy days at the beach and is just long enough to get through the summer holidays.
