Spotted at Camberwell this week
Resembling a cosmopolitan version of Scotland’s tartan army, both boys and girls at Camberwell are not shy to display their love for anything plaid. Tartan scarves, shirts, skirts, bags and jackets all on show this winter.
As you would expect these students are ahead of their game, as various 2013 collections have already showcased the Scottish pattern this season.
Moncler Gamme Bleu’s collection paraded tartan at Milan Fashion Week and went all out by having their models walk to the soundtrack of Braveheart, while Chanel, Vivienne Westwood and Burberry Prorsum have also featured tartan in their 2013 collections.
If you are new to the tartan fan club, try going retro with a pair of tartan trousers or leggings for the ladies. Keep it simple with a scarf or bowtie for the boys.
Topshop has a host of tartan on offer this season; from skirts to shirts and socks to scarves – they have made sure there is something for everyone. Prices start at £3.50 for socks and up to £160 for a Boutique coat. If you are looking for a statement piece, take a look at Urban Outfitters’ tartan creepers for £50.
Boys: don’t feel left out of this trend, River Island have got you covered from as little as £10 for a bow tie that is sure to suave-up any outfit.
