LCC student models for Cara Delevingne’s new collection
Cara Delevingne has unveiled her new self-titled collection for Mulberry, with the help of a UAL student.
Tom Turpie, 22, put his best foot forward for the Made in England collection launch as one of Cara’s models.
The BA photography student was part of the launch during London Fashion Week.
21 year old Delevingne, who was the face of the fashion label’s two recent campaigns, showcased the designs alongside Turpie, who was leading a pack of dogs in the enchanted forest-themed show.
Turpie told Arts London News: “There was a lot of secrecy surrounding her involvement. I was told that myself, another guy and ‘local talent’ were involved in the presentation. When we were introduced, she shook our hands and pulled a few funny faces.”
He added: “I’m still coming to terms with the experience. It was genuinely one of the best days of my life. The last few minutes before the show were slightly nerve racking, especially knowing that we had the dogs to deal with.’
Despite his time on the catwalk, Turpie has not been distracted by the limelight and still plans to continue studying at London College of Communication: “I’m just going to see what each new day brings and take it as it comes. I think that’s the best attitude to have in this industry. I still feel more comfortable behind the camera.”

Ms Delevingne teased fashion followers by sharing a picture of her ‘Made in England’ foot tattoo alongside an item of her self-titled collection.
The collection features three sizes of bag in three different finishes as well as a limited edition version inspired by Delevingne’s lion tattoo.
Prices start at £890 and go up to £2,500.
