Prince is in London for a series of secret gigs
Londoners have a case of Prince fever. The American popstar is playing a series of secret gigs in the capital, and fans are queuing up to see him.
Prince played for 300 people last night in the Electric Ballroom, in Camden. The crowd is much smaller than the 20,000 fans who watched him play in the O2 Arena seven years ago. The concert was announced just some hours in advance, but hundreds of people showed up. Some of them spent more than eight hours in the queue. “I’m in my forties now, I think it’s pretty crazy, but he only comes every three to five years, and he is amazing live. So, yeah, it’s worth it”, says Veejay, who spent seven hours in the queue.
Fans have launched a campaign on Twitter to try and find out where the popstar is going to play next. People are uniting under the hashtag #PrinceWatch to share information about his next gig.
According to London’s Evening Standard, Prince is in talks to play in London landmarks, like the London Eye and Trafalgar Square.
The musician is playing with his new band, 3RDEYEGIRL, but there aren’t any London gigs scheduled on the band’s website. So the fans should just wait and hope they are lucky enough to bump into Prince.
