UAL talent: Clelia Colantonio

Everyday Arts London News aims to showcase a talent from within University of the Arts. If you are interested in being featured, get in touch.

Today illustrator Clelia Colantonio takes centre stage.

Clelia Colantonio is an experimental designer based in London. In 2006 Clelia studied a Fashion Design degree in Milan and this year will be graduating from Central Saint Martins with a BA in Graphic Design specialising in Illustration.

As an illustrator, Clelia works mainly with collage, photography and screen-printing.  The CSM student carefully considers the media used, and is inspired by the randomness even the most exquisite object has.

Clelia said: “Those undefined characteristics are the unfinished job that is for the eyes to complete. In other words, the ‘intervention’ is way more interesting that the piece itself. We all have a way to train our eyes; the best way for me is to train my eyes in the dark.”
