A blog documenting the growing trend of beards in London has been launched by London College of Fashion lecturer, Jonathan Pryce.

The site, called 100 beards, 100 days, features a black and white self-portrait of a bearded Pryce, alongside solo images of 99 bearded men that he scouted during his hunt through the streets of London.

Pryce’s beard fascination was triggered by a six-month holiday in Paris, where he noticed the large number of men who had readopted this 1970s trend.

Pryce believes that beards have become a symbol of masculinity and serve as a representation of individual expression and elegance.

“I wanted to capture the explosion of beards before it becomes saturated,” Pryce explained to The Huffington Post.

Pryce’s project will also feature in a book of the same name, which comes out on November 1.
