Journalism project highlights cycle safety
It was one year ago that Brian Dorling was killed at Bow Roundabout on his commute to work at the Olympic Park.
Coming just a few days after the death of CSM student Min Joo Lee, the accident came as a further reminder that cycling safety should be a top priority for students in London.
A former student of the LCC MA Journalism course, Laura Borner, produced a film as part of her final project entitled “White Bikes”, focussing on the frequency of cycling related deaths.
The title of the film is taken from the tradition of chaining a bicycle painted entirely white by the spot where a cyclist was killed, as a memorial to them.
